No coverage area teams remain in this year’s 13th Region softball tournament, and the 2019 13th Region baseball championship will be a meeting that few predicted when the week began…

Corbin Redhounds basketball head coach Tony Pietrowski’s annual Highly Skilled summer youth camp kicked off Tuesday with a very special guest.

Next week coverage area athletes will compete for regional baseball and softball championships, as well as state track and tennis titles.

Both the 50th and 51st District softball tournaments wrapped up Thursday, and two coverage area teams were able to walk away as champions.

It was a busy night in our coverage area Tuesday, with a district baseball champion crowned, several regional tennis championships decided and track & field teams hitting the road to compete for a chance to appear at state.

On Tuesday, the Corbin Arena announced that Coach John Calipari and the University of Kentucky Wildcats will be hosting a one-day satellite camp on June 11.

After Tuesday night’s high school baseball action, the standings are set in the 50th District.

It was a big week for the Corbin High School soccer program after a total of four players – two Redhounds and two Lady Hounds – signed to continue their athletic careers in college.
