Calipari Satellite Camp latest youth sports camp to be announced for this summer
On Tuesday, the Corbin Arena announced that Coach John Calipari and the University of Kentucky Wildcats will be hosting a one-day satellite camp on June 11.
The camp is being presented in association with Knox Central and Corbin High Schools, and will be for boys and girls ages 7-17. Campers will be taught skills by UK coaches and staff, and they will get the opportunity to interact with current players. There will be opportunities to take photos and get autographs before the camp concludes.
Cost to attend is $99 per camper. In addition to receiving instruction and meeting Wildcat players and coaches, each participant will also go home with a special edition UK camp t-shirt. Other prizes will be given away the day of the camp. To register, go online to ukathletics.com/camps.

The Annual Coach P Highly Skilled and Traditional Basketball Camps at Corbin High School – Highly Skilled Camp for players in grades 2-7. Four-day camp (May 28-31), 10:30 am-1:00 pm each day. Cost is $100. Traditional Camp for grades K-2 and 3-6. K-2 will be from 9:00 am-11:30 am June 3-6. Grades 3-6 will be from noon-2:30 pm on same days. Cost is $60. Shoot Hoops Not Drugs FREE basketball camp – All school-age youth are invited to participate in a free Operation UNITE Shoot Hoops Not Drugs basketball camp to be held Thursday, June 20 at Whitley County High School. The camp, led by former UK All-SEC Academic Team member Jarrod Polson, begins at 4:00 pm and concludes at 7:00 pm. Pre-registration is not required. All participants will receive an event T-shirt, basketball and be entered into a drawing for two portable basketball goals that will be given away at the end of camp. Food and water are provided.
Eric Swords FREE basketball camp – Former Williamsburg Yellow Jacket and current head coach of the Berea Pirates Eric Swords will be hosting a free one-day basketball camp later this summer. It will be for kids 8-17 living in the Williamsburg housing authority and Mt. Morgan apartments. Camp was originally scheduled for earlier this month, but had to be postponed due to weather. Lynn Camp Little Tykes Football Camp – Coach Allen Harris has announced the return of his one-day youth football camp at LCHS for Saturday, June 1. Camp will be from 9:00 am-4:00 pm on that day, and will include lunch and a camp t-shirt. Students in grades K-8 will be accepted from any school district. Jaxon Stewart FREE football camp – On May 25, a free youth football camp for students in grades 1-6 will be held at the TCSA fields in Corbin from 9:00 am-noon. For more information, call 606-627-1544.
