Ronnie Dale Black

Ronnie Dale Black, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 2, 2016.

He was born in Harlan,  to the late Willard and Montine Jump Black on May 5, 1947.

Mr. Black was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.

He attended Frankfort Baptist Church in Corbin.

He was preceded in death by a brother Butch Black of Corbin.

He is survived by his daughter, Olivia Dawn Myers and son-in-law Derrick Myers, of  Corbin, his friend and former wife, Mary Ellen Hickey Black, of Corbin; sisters Marianne Easley of Jeffersonville IN; Jean (Bobby) Storms;  Sue (Dennis) Croley; and Joyce (Tommy) Storms,  all of Corbin; brother Terry Black of Louisville and a host of nephews, nieces and special friends to mourn his passing.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Frankfort Baptist Church on Bee Creek Rd. in Corbin, Wednesday Sept. 7, 2016 at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Clark Funeral Home in Versailles is in charge of the arrangements.
