A Corbin therapist said he is proud of his service in the U.S. Air Force at the end of the Vietnam War, but is defending himself against accusations from an Internet website dedicated to combat veterans that he has made bogus claims to have served in combat or was even deployed overseas.
Corbin native Leslie Wayne Frazier, a counselor at Your Next Step, said he served in the Air Force between 1971 and 1973, rising to the rank of sergeant before he was honorably discharged.

This clown is a huge liar and jerk wad. This newspaper is run by Don Estep who claims to be some kind of truth finder. It’s just some small town rag that does not tell the truth, they just tell one side of the story as always.
Hey Confused, read the paper print and you will see they omitted the facts and printed the speculation.
I drink a lot and …. smoke banana peels …. and huff paint so I don’t really know what I’m talking about most of the time.
Looked like a fair story to me. Both sides presented.
Yes…bubba…great…point… I too can’t believe that a newspaper business would try to make money by selling newspapers. What jerks.
why post news online at all if you only intend to post part of the article….just to get more newspaper sales…losers….the day of the paper newspaper is almost gone…time to wake up and stop cutting trees down to print garbage… like this pathetic excuse for a news paper does. pointless article…obviously the facts were left out…lazy reporting…typical corbin for you…

Dean, I am appalled at your story that was printed. You wrote the speculation side of the story and used none of the facts that were verified by licensed officials and government agencies. I know you are news reporter and must report the “facts” so let me help you.
First, The Vietnam POW network who is legitimate non profit organization licensed to mandate and verify our Vietnam POWs have had multiple accounts of his lies. The multiple accusers, one of which being me did not know each other. Yet had the same accounts of his dishonesty, claiming to be both a Vietnam “WAR” veteran (huge difference of serving two years as a AF veteran) and secondly his accounts of being shot down and detained in the Vietnam Jungle as a POW. His Service records are 100% accurate as they were verified via a form 180, and they verify he has not done neither of his claims.
Secondly, I asked you to not use my name in this story, my disorder is a private matter that I prefer not sharing with the entire Tri-County community. You told me that you would honor this. I also asked you to email me so I could help gather further facts prior to printing this story, you did not.
Dean I have 8 combat deployments (over 4 years of my life) and was a Soldier that served on the front lines and saw combat first hand, so yes I do have some minor issues processing what I saw and experienced and this is why I sought a counselor that could relate to my issues. This man lied to my face and to the face of others to gain our trust and then it turns out he is not what he claims to be. I don’t expect you to understand what has transpired by these accounts, but you have a civil duty to report the facts and to maybe honor a combat veterans request to not disclose a mental health disorder for the town to now speculate on.
I expect a public retraction of this story, I expect an apology, and I expect to have viewing rights of the retraction story before print. I came to your news paper with trust in order to ensure no other veterans suffer as I did from these practices. It was my duty to report this to the proper officials and it is your duty to tell the truth. Please reply at your soonest.

No one is questioning that he served in the Air Force. His allegations to his church and several combat veterans are that he was a Vietnam Veteran and that he was a POW while he was in Vietnam. He has told this to numerous Marines while counseling them for Combat PTSD, which he also claims to have. I have verified through the POW network that he is not one of the 662 surviving POWs and all his combat claims are false. This man is a discrace to our COMBAT veterans that suffer from this disorder.
