Laurel deputies arrest three people found in possession of stolen trailer
Three people were arrested Monday night after a victim spotted his car hauler trailer that had been reported stolen in March.
The victim called in to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department stating that he had found his trailer in a business parking lot off West Cumberland Gap Parkway about ten miles south of London.
According to a release, when deputies Kyle Gray and Brandon Broughton arrived at the scene, they confirmed that it was the car hauler trailer that had been reported stolen from a Knox County location to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department on March 18 of this year.
With the assistance of CSO Brandon McCoy, the deputies arrested the three individuals that were occupying the white Toyota Tacoma that was pulling the trailer around 7:40 p.m.
Billy Wayne Hensley, Jr., 29, and Michael Wayne Claborn, 27, both of South US 421, Cranks, Kentucky, and William Paul Caroll, 35, of Fee Drive, Cawood, Kentucky, were all charged with receiving stolen property of $500 or more and under $10,000.
The trio was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
