Woman found laying in roadway arrested

Radina Noblit
A Michigan woman, who was found laying beside her vehicle Sunday near the Whitley County Airport, is now being held in the Whitley County Detention Center in lieu of a $25,000 cash bond.
Whitley County Sheriff’s Sgt. Kirk Mays charged Radina Noblit, 32, of Coldwater, Michigan, with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), public intoxication and third degree criminal trespassing.
On March 6, Whitley County E911 sent Mays to the area of Aviation Boulevard concerning a woman, who was reported to be laying beside the roadway.
When Mays made contact with Noblit, she was laying beside her vehicle, was unsteady on her feet and showed other indicators of intoxication, according to a release from Whitley County Sheriff Colan Harrell.
“When questioned, Noblit said she was resting and believed she was in Tennessee,” Harrell said in the release. “When asked if she had taken or possessed any illegal substances, Noblit stated there was ‘ice’ methamphetamine in the vehicle. She provided Sgt. Mays with consent to search the vehicle, and in the location she described, he found a small plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance believed to be meth.”
‘Ice’ is an extremely pure and potent form of methamphetamine.
Noblit was booked into the Whitley County Detention Center at 7:10 p.m. Sunday. She is scheduled to appear in Whitley District Court on March 15 in connection with her charges.
