Dr. Travis A. Freeman and Mrs. Stephanie L. Taylor Freeman were married on Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the Gatliff Chapel on University of the Cumberlands’ campus.
Travis is the son of Larry and Mary Hopkins Freeman of Corbin, KY, the grandson of the late Charles Vernon and Betty Ruth Freeman of Williamsburg, KY and the late Leo and Osa Hopkins, of Corbin, KY.
He is an adjunct professor in the Missions and Ministry Department at University of the Cumberlands, author of his autobiography, Lights Out: Living in a Sightless World, and CEO of the Freeman Foundation. The movie ‘23 Blast’ is loosely based on the events of his life.
Stephanie is the daughter of Cindy Murray Taylor of Corbin, KY and Anthony Taylor of Corbin, KY, the granddaughter of Bill and Alice Holskey of Winchester, KY; Bob and Tricia Murray of Orlando, FL; and Estill and Margie Taylor of Corbin, KY.
Stephanie is the Administrative Assistant in the Alumni Office at University of the Cumberlands.
The couple resides in Williamsburg, KY.
