Steaks, sharpies, tools taken in separate shoplifting incidents Thursday night
Two people were arrested Thursday night in separate unrelated shoplifting incidents in north Corbin.
Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, the department’s public affairs officer, stated the first arrest occurred at Walmart where Robert David McCamon, 28, of London, allegedly took steaks and sharpies.
McCamon attempted to flee from loss prevention, but was apprehended by K-9 Deputy Gary Mehler.
The value of the stolen items was reportedly $76.31.
McCamon was charged with theft by unlawful taking of the value under $500, and second-degree disorderly conduct.
He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
At approximately 7:25 p.m., deputies responded to Lowe’s Home improvement where loss prevention reported witnessing a male suspect removed a Dewalt combo kit from its box and leave the store without paying for the item.
Deputies arrested Richard Lee Sandlin, 44, of Florence, on one count of theft by unlawful taking of the value under $500 and lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
