Norman Lee “Pete” Helton
Norman Lee “Pete” Helton, 78, of Williamsburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Continue Care Hospital in Corbin.
He was born on February 9, 1938 in Whitley County, to the late Charlie Helton and Maude Pfaff Helton.
He was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Hallie Miller Helton; sisters, Wilma Terrell and Phyllis Jean Helton; brothers, Billy “Jack” Helton and Alfred Ray “Monk” Helton; and half-brother, Dwayne Helton.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Helton of Williamsburg; two sons, Richard Lee Helton of Williamsburg and Emmanuel Helton and wife Angela of Corbin; seven grandchildren, Bretta, Felicia, Clorissa, Richard Jr., Cassandra, Nicholas, and Chelslynn; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Raymon Jim Helton of Corbin, Ralph “Curly” Helton and wife Lela of Corbin, and Paul Wayne Helton of Rockholds; two half-sisters, Sue Hunter of Wofford and Faye Allen and husband Jim of Woodbine; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
The funeral service was held Friday, January 13, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bennie Bush officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Broyles Cemetery in Rockholds.
