No court in Whitley County through April 10
Whitley Circuit Court Clerk Gary Barton said Friday that, in keeping with the order of the Kentucky Supreme Court, all court dates are canceled beginning Monday and continuing through April 10.

The order from the Kentucky Supreme Court postponing all court through April 10.
Barton said court officials will be sending notices out to anyone with pending court date during that period of their new date.
“If someone believes we don’t have their correct address on file, they may call the clerk’s office and we can give them a new court date,” Barton said.
Barton said the judicial center and clerk’s office in Corbin will both remain open for regular business, including driver’s licensing, court filings, bond and fine payments.
“We are just not having court,” Barton emphasized.
Grand jury indictments will be returned as scheduled on Monday.
However, Barton said arraignments on those cases will not be held.
Barton said the closure will not affect new arrests, as those arraignments are conducted via a video system from the jail.
