Musical lineup announced for, ‘Moonbow Nights’ events
Corbin Downtown has announced the musical lineup for the “Moonbow Nights” events, scheduled to begin in June.

Moonbow Nights will return again beginning June 15 at NIBROC Park. Attendance at the event has steadily grown.
Downtown Manager Aaron Sturgill said the lineup will cover a spectrum of genres including rock, blues, folk and country.
“We are switching up the genres to see what folks respond to,” Sturgill said.
The season will kick off on a rockin’ note Saturday June 15 with Lauren & The Howlers, along with Rosemont Garden.
Music will begin at 5 p.m. at NIBROC Park.
Jarfly Brewing Company, located in Somerset, and West Sixth Brewing, located in Lexington, will each be offering a variety of craft beers.
“It has been a thing at Moonbow Nights and I decided to continue with it,” Sturgill said.
Along with the beer, Sturgill said he is continuing to work to line up potential food and craft vendors.
Any vendors interested in participating in any of the four scheduled Moonbow Nights may contact Sturgill at 528-0660.
On July 20, the music will take on a blues flavor with Whiskey Bent, along with the Valley Boys, and The Tillers.
August 17 will have a folk sound featuring local favorite The Kites, along with John Paul White.
I’m especially excited about him because he is a Grammy Award winning artist,” Sturgill said of White.
Moonbow Nights will wrap up the season on September 14 when local country favorites County Wide takes to the stage.
“I think the lineup turned out pretty good,” Sturgill said.
Those in attendance are welcome and encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets.
Each event will be held rain or shine, though Sturgill said there will be canopies set up to protect against rain or provide shade.
The music at each event will wrap up at about 9:30 p.m.
The events are free and open to the public.
