Man who injured four officers plans to claim mental incompetence

A Whitley County Grand Jury indicted Steven Butt Monday charging him with assaulting four officers.

An Ohio man, who allegedly assaulted four Whitley County Sheriff’s deputies sending three of them to the hospital during an August incident, is apparently planning to tell a jury at his trial that he wasn’t legally competent at the time of the incident.
