Lynn Camp to host Miss Knox County Scholarship Pageant
The Miss Knox County Scholarship Pageant has found a home at Lynn Camp Schools.
“This is something we have been planning for some time now and it is here,” said Mr. Anthony Pennington, Lynn Camp Principal.
Hoping to make the pageant better than ever, school officials along with the Lynn Camp Family Resource Youth Service Center (FRYSC) are working together to make the pageant a community event. The winner of the Miss Knox County Scholarship Pageant will be eligible to move on to the Miss Kentucky Pageant. Other pageant divisions include Miss Outstanding Teen, Miss Pre-Teen and Lil Miss Pageants.
While an official date for the pageant has not been set as of yet, officials plan to release all details, including all rules and regulations, as soon as they are known.
“We will make an announcement in early August regarding the pageant date and key information that contestants will need. This will be a huge event for our community and we are excited to be hosting this pageant,” said Mrs. Darya Logan, Lynn Camp Schools FRYSC Coordinator.
Former Miss Knox County winners will be invited back to Lynn Camp to be part of this event each year, as well.
“We want to continue the tradition and build upon that each year with this event,” Mr. Pennington added.
Mrs. Darya Logan will serve as the pageant coordinator and point of contact for this event. For more information or to receive updates as they are made available, email Mrs. Logan at darya.logan@knox.kyschools.us.
