Lora Mae Campbell Gilburth

Lora Mae Campbell Gilburth, 101, born April 11, 1917 in Jellico, TN passed away peacefully on Sunday June 17, 2018 at the Jellico Community Hospital.

Lora Mae was a Teacher’s Assistant at Jellico Elementary for several years and was the oldest member of the Jellico United Methodist Church. She graduated from Jellico High School in 1937. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her children; Richard Clyde Gilburth Jr. who died at birth, Jimmy Ray Gilburth who died in 1964, and her beloved husband Richard “Dutch” Gilburth who passed away in 1990. Lora Mae is survived by her daughter, Sue Maiden and husband Robert; five grandchildren, Dan Renner and wife Michelle of Powell, TN, Richard “Dutch” Renner of Jellico, TN, Lori Jones and husband Bill of Corbin, Barbie Bruce of Jellico, TN, and Andy Maiden of Jellico, TN; 12 great-grandchildren, Britney Douglas and husband Donnie Ray, Julie Qualls and husband Ryan, Drew Bruce, Tiffany Bruce, Taylor Jones and wife Katie, Blake Maiden, Bailee Maiden, Amanda Renner, Mike Renner, Clint Thomas, Roman Renner, Eli Renner; five great-great-grandchildren, Macyn Douglas, Decklin Bruce, Jensen Bruce, Evan Douglas and Kyle Douglas; and a very special friend and caregiver Shirley Ann Wortham and many other family and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, June 20, at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel in Jellico with Rev. Johnnie Walker officiating.

Interment followed in the Douglas Cemetery at Wooldridge, TN.
