ACCEPTING BIDS ON SURPLUS ITEMS
The Whitley County Board of Education is now accepting sealed bids for several items including, but not limited to thirty-six (36) color TV’s, infant cribs, toddler size plastic chairs, portable feeding seats, bouncy chairs, wooden cubbies (space for hanging coats, lunch box, etc.), toys and books for infants and toddlers, etc.
Please visit the district website, www.whitley.kyschools.us to view pictures of the above listed items. The items will be sold as items D-101 through D-133 as on the complete bid list.

Your sealed bid must be labeled “Surplus Property Bid” and include the item number, the amount of your bid, along with your name, address, and phone number. Submit your sealed bid to the Whitley County Board of Education at 300 Main Street, Williamsburg, KY 40769 during regular office hours from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Bid deadline is 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 3, 2017. Bids received after the scheduled closing time will be returned unopened to the bidder. The Whitley County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities. Successful bidder must remove items from the property by March 10, 2017.
NOTICE:
On behalf of the Whitley County Board of Education, the Whitley County Local Planning Committee will convene a committee meeting to review the current District Facility Plan; this meeting is open to the public. The meeting will be held on March 1, 2017 at the Whitley County Board of Education at 5:30 p.m. local time. This Meeting will be for the purpose of requesting a Finding and a Waiver concerning the District Facility Plan from the Kentucky Department of Education.
PUBLIC NOTICE
An ordinance amending the Whitley County Budget for Fiscal Year 2016-2017, to include unanticipated receipts increasing/decreasing from various Funds in the amount of $366,288.00 and increasing/decreasing expenditures from the various Funds in the amount of $366,288.00 was passed on 02/21/17. A copy of the Ordinance with full text is available for public inspection at the Office of the County Judge Executive during normal business hours.
