Jaryn Noble crowned 2016 Miss Whitley Co. Fair

Richmond resident Jaryn Noble was crowned 2016 Miss Whitley County Fair Saturday evening.

Richmond resident Jaryn Noble was crowned the 2016 Miss Whitley County Fair Pageant Queen during a competition held Saturday night at the Williamsburg Tourism and Convention Center.

Noble won the interview, swimsuit and evening gown competitions to run away with the contest.
30 percent of the contestants’ final score was based on the interview, 35 percent on the swimsuit competition and 35 percent on the evening gown competition.

This is the first year that the pageant has been open to young women besides those who reside in Whitley County.

Emily Sharp of Laurel County was the first runner-up and Bailee Renee Okuma of Knox County was the second runner-up.

Sharp was also named Miss Congeniality. Okuma was voted most photogenic.

There were a total of 10 contestants in this year’s pageant including Whitley County residents Emma Grace Cooper, Brooke Danielle Way and Morgan Moses.

Other contestants included: Katelyn Nicole Simons and Katelyn Pauline Sarah Mills of Grant County, Alexa Ingram Loy of Russell County, and Hallie Kate Phillips of Casey County.

The theme for this year’s pageant was “Derby Day in the Burg.”

This year’s pageant was dedicated in honor of the late M. Lincoln Patrick, who passed away in 2015.

Patrick was a member of the pageant’s committee for many years and was known as a “friend to all,” pageant organizers said.

Noble will now go onto compete in the Miss Kentucky County Fair Pageant this January in Louisville.

This year’s Miss Whitley County Fair Pageant Committee was composed of Director Tammy Walker, Iona Patrick, Gail Frederick and Kelsey White.

Dave Buck served as master of ceremonies for the pageant. Rob Powers provided the sound system and entertainment.
