Grammy winner Jason Crabb playing The Arena Saturday

Gospel artist Jason Crabb will perform at The Arena Saturday.
Two high-profile Gospel Music acts will be taking to the stage at The Arena in Corbin Saturday night at Grammy Award winner Jason Crabb and trio Point of Grace come to town for one show.
Crabb, a native of Beaver Dam in Ohio County, recently released his fifth solo album, “Whatever The Road.”
“Kentucky people are my people,” Crabb said when asked about performing at The Arena.
Crabb said he has been singing for as long as he can remember.
“I don’t remember what age I was but it had to be church,” Crabb said. “My dad was a preacher and so we kids became the singers, musicians – anything that had to be played or sang – we did it. We started singing as family in church and then people started asking us to come sing at different churches and events. I can honestly tell you that Go completely orchestrated the entire thing.”
Crabb said that he and his siblings first toured in 1994 as The Crabb family.
“ I can see His (God’s) hand in each and every turn,” Crabb said. “We never set out to be professional Chrisitan singers, but when there is a call on your life, God will direct the steps and open the doors for you to walk through.” Did I dream of singing one day? Sure! But God’s dream for my life were bigger than I could have ever imagine.”
Crabb, who has ventured into other genres of music including country and pop, said he wants the fans to have a good time Saturday and help bring them closer to the Lord.
“I hope it touches people and I hope they leave different from when they came in – with more hope, joy and knowing that God truly loves them!” Crabb said. “I want them to know that no matter what – God loves you!”
Crabb said he has enjoyed touring with the ladies of Point of Grace because they share the same goal each night when they take the state.
“We want to encourage, uplift, inspire and point people to Jesus,” Crabb said.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets are available at The Arena box office or through Ticketmaster.
“I can’t wait!” Crabb said. “I’ll be singing songs from the new album, “Whatever The Road, and all the classics from the Crabb Family days. It’s going to be a great night.”
