Darrell Edmond Shelton
Darrell Edmond Shelton, 65 of Williamsburg, passed away Friday April 21, 2017 at Jellico Community Hospital.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Darrell was a very outgoing person who enjoyed life and he was always willing to help others.
He was a highly skilled carpenter and enjoyed doing building and remodeling projects for many local homeowners and businesses.
Darrell was born July 21, 1951, in Williamsburg, to the late Steve Shelton and Lora Gabbard Shelton.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a twin sister Carole Lynn Shelton.
He is survived by his son, Chad Shelton of Williamsburg; sisters, Asenath (Cricket) Fuson (Arthur) of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Sharon Alder (Harry) of Williamsburg; brothers, Clayton Shelton of Homestead, FL and Richard Shelton, many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday April 27, at the Jellico Creek Cemetery with Rev. Harold Long officiating. Keavy DAV Chapter 158 will conduct military honors.
There will be no visitation service.
