Carrie Owens
Carrie Owens, 89, of Williamsburg, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 under the care of Williamsburg Nursing Home of Whitley County.
She was born September 11, 1929 to the late W.C. Owens and Victoria Campbell Owens.
Carrie retired from Lion Uniform. She was an avid seamstress and loved to quilt.
Carrie was not only loved by many, but she gave an abundance of love to all.
Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Hubert Owens, Wesley Owens, Charles Owens and Grace Owens Ball.
She leaves behind to treasure her memory a brother Elmer (Nina) Owens of Louisville; seven nieces and nephews: Michael (Coni) Owens, Sandra (Johnny) Young, Vicky (Ted) Rich, Bob (Donna) Owens, Harold W. (Debbie) Ball, Brian (Kim) Owens and Stacey (Steve) Robbins; sixteen great nieces and nephews as well as several great great and great great great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held December 29 at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating.
Friends may visit the family from 11 a.m. until service time at 12 p.m. on December 29.
She will be laid to rest in the Jellico Creek Cemetery.
