Young selected as honoree for 7th Annual Ultimate Climb Challenge
Each year Hometown Bank partners with the Corbin Arena to sponsor the 5k Ultimate Climb Challenge Run/Walk to raise money and awareness for American Cancer’s Relay for Life and each year they choose someone special to dedicate and honor their fundraising efforts to.
This year Hometown Bank has selected Christian Young as their honoree for the 7th Annual Ultimate Climb Challenge.
Christian is the 3-year-old son of Michael and Kristi Young of Corbin.
In March, Christian was diagnosed with “Wilms Tumor”. Wilms Tumor is a rare kidney cancer that primarily affects children ages 3 to 4. It is also known as nephroblastoma.
Christian is a vivacious little guy who loves to be outdoors playing and fishing in the pond with his dad. You may even catch him teasing his sisters, Kayla and Madison or chasing after his big brother, Michael. But one thing is for sure, you will always find a smile on his face and laughter in his heart.
Hometown Bank is so proud of Christian for his bravery and tenacity to fight and that is why they will continue to help organizations like American Cancer Society to find a cure to beat diseases like Wilm’s Tumor.
Hometown Bank would like to invite each of you to join them at the top of the Arena Hill on June 2nd at 8:00 a.m. (Registration begins at 7:00 a.m.) as the horn will sound to start the race and as we recognize their 2018 Super Hero Christian Young!
