Woodbine residents arrested for drug trafficking

With the help of a confidential informant, Corbin police arrested two local residents Wednesday for drug trafficking and other offenses at a home in Woodbine.

According to a Corbin Police Department news release, 20-year-old Savannah Minton and 33-year-old Clarence Egner, both of Woodbine, were charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a minor.

On Tuesday, police, with the help of an informant, were able to purchase prescription controlled substances (Oxycontin pills) from someone at Minton’s residence on Hwy. 6 in Woodbine. After the purchase, officers executed a search warrant at the home and found marijuana, serveral different types of drug paraphernalia and approximately 20 empty Oxycontin bottles.

Corbin K-9 officers Sgt. Glenn Taylorr and Coy Wilson are leading the investigation. They were assisted by Ptl. Kirk Mays, Ptl. Tim Baker, Sgt. Jason Moore and Sgt. Shannon Jones.
