Wilma Jean “Patsy” Byrd

Wilma Jean “Patsy” Byrd, 78 of Knoxville, TN formerly of Whitley County, passed away Friday August 11, 2017 at her home.

She was born September 21, 1938 in Whitley County to the late James and Murrel Smith.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Byrd, a daughter Pamela Byrd, and a son Steven Byrd.

She is survived by a son David Byrd of Knoxville, TN, three grandchildren; Kristian Byrd, Tyler Byrd and Brittany Morgan all of Knoxville, four great grandchildren; Mason Ortiz, Layla Grace Byrd, Micah Morgan and Hayden Morgan all of Knoxville, a nephew Jeff Smith of Knoxville, three brother-in-laws, Ken Byrd (Joyce), Pat Byrd (Kathy), all of Williamsburg, Jerry Byrd (Sheila) of Cartersville, GA; and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

The funeral service was held August 14, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Powers officiating.

Interment was in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Moses Addition.
