Willie Siler
Willie Siler, being 70 years and 3 days old of Verne, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022. Willie was born on July 20, 1952 in Jellico, Tennessee to Alonzo “Trapper” and Oma Jane Goins Siler. He was married and divorced to Linda Case.
Willie was a Veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam era, member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 90 and a former member of the Whitley County Historical Society.
Preceding Willie in death are his father and mother; his brothers, Dewey “Bud”, and Grant Siler; his sisters, Geraldine and Opal Siler, and Josephine Faulkner; and niece, Patricia Hamblin.
Survivors are his stepchildren; sisters, Priscilla Faulkner and Lavada Potter; and brother, Roy and wife, Alice Siler; nephews, Randy, Johnny, Joe, Steve, Greg and Danny Siler and Carl, Dewey, Tommy and Kenny Faulkner; nieces, Lois Jane Davis, Cathy Zerheusen, Gail Pennington, Janet Griffith, Angela Pennington, Tina Ping, Lisa Smith, Karmen Siler, and Regina Barnhill; and many friends, cousins, and loved ones left to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 28, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral service will be 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 28, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Siler officiating.
Burial will be in Siler Cemetery at Verne at a later date.
Military honors will be conducted by Jellico American Legion.
