William “Dub” Vanover
William “Dub” Vanover, 75, of Williamsburg, Ky., passed away Monday, April 22, 2019 at Beech Tree Manor Nursing Home.
He was born in Harlan County, Ky. on December 22, 1943 to the late Starlin and Elsie Mae Taylor Vanover.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Mae Vanover, four brothers; Avery “Buck” Vanover, Leonard Vanover, Ron Vanover, Darrell Vanover, and a sister; Connie Rider.
He is survived by three children; Sheila (Rev. Jeff) Hurst of Williamsburg, Deana (Eddie) Monhollen of Williamsburg, Mark (Kim) Vanover of Williamsburg; 14 grandchildren; Cody Hurst, Deonda (Spencer) Brown, Jared Hurst, Jessica (Christian) Parks, Erica Monhollen, Jermey (Briana) Hurst, Jasmine Monhollen, Daniel Monhollen, Alex Monhollen, Corey Monhollen, Big Rick Monhollen, Tyler Vanover, Jake Vanover, Sam Vanover; 14 great grandchildren; five sisters, Dorothy (Raymond) Bryant of Williamsburg, Virginia (Jimmy) Carter of Williamsburg, Joyce (Allen) Cain of Williamsburg, Donna (Troy) Prewitt of Williamsburg, Brenda Davis of Williamsburg, three brothers; Don (Glenna) Vanover of Williamsburg, Carlos (Sheila) Vanover of Monticello, Harold (Teresa) Vanover of Corbin; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was held Friday, April 26, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Bowman and Rev. Jeff Hurst officiating.
Interment was in the Pleasant View Cemetery Moses Addition.
