William “Billy” Grant Young

William “Billy” Grant Young, age 89, of Louden Road, Williamsburg departed this life on April 8, 2022 at Baptist Health Corbin, Ky.
He was born to the late Arthur Young and Mary E. Powers on November 21, 1932 in Williamsburg, KY.
He is also preceded in death by his wife of 65 year, Geraldine Powers Young; three sisters, Estel Reynolds, Kathleen Powers and Annie Smith; two brothers, John Young, and H.C. Young.
He was an inaugural member of the Patterson Creek Volunteer Fire Dept.
He is survived by sister, Lorain Siler of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters in law, Karlon McKiddy of Cincinnati, Ohio and Sharon Goins (Gary) of Cincinnati, Ohio; special niece, Christy Hamblin; papa’s babies, Zackary Hamblin (Candace), Haley Paige Hamblin, Connor Hamblin and Ayden Hamblin; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 12, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday April 13, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Croley officiating.
He will be laid to rest at the Powers Cemetery on Louden Road Williamsburg, Ky.
