William “Bill” Matt Runyon

William “Bill” Matt Runyon, of Goshen, OH, formerly of Barbourville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the age of 88.

Born on June 10, 1928 in Bryant Store, KY, Bill also proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was the beloved husband of the late Katherine Louise Mills Runyon; and the loving father of Gary (late Nancy) Runyon, Karen (James) Rains, Dale Runyon, Mark (Sandy) Runyon, Denise Runyon and Dennis Runyon; grandfather of ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother of JB Runyon, Wayland Runyon and the late Cecil Runyon, Rose Abner, Marie Partin and Bertha Mae Proffitt; cherished son of the late Steve and Mary Liz Lewallen Runyon; and is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Services were held Saturday, March 25, at the Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, with Rev. Ronnie Rose presiding.

Interment was held in Graceland Memorial with pallbearers being Caleb Runyon, Josh Runyon, Seth Runyon, Travis Runyon, Doug Rains and Chad Jarvis.
