William “Alex” Davis

William “Alex” Davis, 21, of Corbin, departed this life on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Bowling Green Memorial Hospital in Bowling Green.

He was born on March 27, 1996 in Corbin, to Kenny Davis and Erika (Floyd) Davis.

He was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Ann Combs; great grandparents, Herb and Marie Fischer.

He was a senior at Western Kentucky University (pre-med studies), member of the First Presbyterian Church of London, Sigma Chi Fraternity at WKU, member of Student Counsel at WKU, National Honor Society, 2014 Graduate of Corbin High School, and member of Corbin Golf team.

He enjoyed spending time on the water and slopes with his family and friends.

He is survived by his parents, Kenny and Erika Davis of Corbin; sister, Emily Davis of Corbin; grandparents, Harold and Susan Davis of Corbin; aunts, Tracy Croley and husband Andy of Williamsburg and Becky Givens and husband Jon of Knoxville; cousins, Alicyn Croley, Davis Givens, Jerrod Croley, and Leslee Givens; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Friday, September 8, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Thulin and Rev. Lisa Eye officiating.

Following the service he was laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park.
