Wild West Fiesta opening in Corbin
Tex Mex is coming to Corbin beginning in mid to late August.
Wild West Fiesta will open for business beside Tobacco Barn, but the exact date of its grand opening has yet to be determined.
Wild West Fiesta will feature Tex Mex cuisine. Tex Mex is a combination of American and Mexican cuisine. The food selections will range from barbecue to burritos and tacos.
Renae Steinbach, the manager, said that Tex Mex food consists of really slow cooked meat and then the spices determine whether it is more of a barbecue style or Mexican style.
No alcohol will be served at the restaurant.
Steinbach said that she expects the restaurant to bring about 20 jobs to the area once it is open. The building is still under construction.
The restaurant will have both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a drive thru.
Steinbach said that though management knows that drive thrus are not common in this type of restaurant, she believes it will be and asset for growing the business.
Wild West Fiesta is expected to seat roughly 40 to 50 individuals.
Management is looking to begin the hiring process soon for both assistant managers and staff. The business will most likely use indeed.com. Applicants are encouraged to go ahead and submit their resumes on the site, as the job listing will appear in the upcoming weeks.
The Tobacco Barn is connected to the restaurant and is open for business. The Tobacco Barn relocated from its building on US 25E after the state demanded it move, said Steinbach.
Steinbach said that she had worked at the Tobacco Barn for 17 years before it moved and it had been open before she started working there.
The Tobacco Barn has extended its inventory to include tobacco, alcohol, drinks, dairy products and some grocery items.
