Why the jump in gas prices?
Posted On 07 May 2009
Here they go again and why? Gas prices have jumped 20 cents a gallon in the past two days. The price for a barrel of oil has risen slightly but not enough to justify the big increase. People everywhere are asking why the increase…..It is worse in Lexington where gas is about 25 cents a gallon more than it is here….Planning that vacation…they see you coming and you’ll pay more

Same jump goes for Florida also. I read somewhere that the federal guru’s predicted a slight increase in travel this summer. That slight increase is mostly the federal guru’s. They are among the only ones who can afford to take an extended vacation this year. Anyway, my feeble mind says if there is a buck to be made, the oil companies are willing to take it. Beside that, if it is determined there was no reason to raise the price…in a few months…it can always be lowered about 50% of the amount raised, and they will still be ahead of the game. Sorry for the sarcasm.
