Whitley Co. Grand Jury issues 26 drug-related indictments
The Whitley County Grand Jury handed down 26 drug-related indictments while issuing its monthly report Monday.
According to the grand jury report and indictments, those charged with drug-related offenses include:
• William Padgett, 35, of Duff, Tennessee – first-degree wanton endangerment (nine-year-old), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, and two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, and heroin).
• Charles R. Durham II, 40, Nathaniel Preston, 20, and Laura Parker, 37, all of Corbin – unlawful transaction with a minor (contributing to provide alcohol and marijuana to minor children), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.
• Danielle Bundy, 44, of Rockholds – third or greater offense first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and first-degree promoting contraband.
• Jennifer Grubb, 27, of Corbin – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
• Vincent Martin, 32, of Williamsburg – second offense first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Mark Frisby, 41, of Williamsburg – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.
• Melissa Schwartz, 41, of Williamsburg – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Tiffany Morgan, 34, of Corbin – possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine and unspecified drug).
• William Begley, 25, of Fourmile – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), theft by unlawful taking value $1,000 or more (catalytic converters from D&D Auto), and first-degree criminal mischief (damaging vehicles owned by D&D Auto).
• Gregory Sokira, 50, of Williamsburg – second offense first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Steven Garrett, 30, of Milton – first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and first-degree wanton endangerment (eight-year-old).
• Jason Barnett, 43, of Corbin, and Latoya Dople, 35, of Newcomb, Tennessee – two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance (heroin and hydromorphone). Barnett was also indicted for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.
• Margaret Hicks, 44, of Williamsburg – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
• Jeffery Chandler, 46, of Williamsburg – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and second offense operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.
• Brandon Hill, 41, of Corbin, and Teddy Veach, 41, of Rockholds – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Hill was also indicted for second offense operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.
• Glennus Anderson, 49, of Siler – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
• Cheryl Musick, 53, and Billy Rose, 65, both of Jellico, Tennessee – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Rose was also indicted for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.
• Teresa Burnett, 48, and James Mayton, 46, both of Williamsburg – two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin and methamphetamine pressed with Clonazepam).
• Phillip Huddleston, 40, of Williamsburg – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Michael Mills, 33, of Williamsburg – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
