Whitley Co. changes in-person learning
Starting Monday, Whitley County School District’s hybrid in-person instruction schedule will transition to an A/B schedule.
Students who attend in-person will either attend Monday and Tuesday or Thursday and Friday.
No students will attend in-person on Wednesdays as that day will be used to disinfect the school and allow teachers to continue to use online instruction with all students, stated a Facebook post from the district.
Because buses will be used to transport students, meal delivery will only occur on Wednesdays. Meals will still be available for pick up on in-person instruction days.
Parents will be contacted by their student’s school about which days their child will be scheduled to attend.
In the Facebook post, the district states it will continue to follow CDC guidelines for masking and social distancing as it looks forward to welcoming students back two days per week for in-person instruction.
The changes for in-person classes will not affect students who are solely using virtually learning.
