Whitley Co. 55, Corbin 31

 The Whitley County Lady Colonels grabbed first place in the current  50th District standings with a 55-31 win over the Corbin Lady Redhounds Friday night at Lawson Gym.

  Sophomores Brandi Smith and Kanace Craig led the Lady Colonels to the win. Smith tossed in 21 points while Craig added 12 points with 13 rebounds. The Lady Colonels (11-6) will face East Jessamine Thursday at 7:30 p.m., while Corbin (10-6) travels to Lincoln County.
