Wests celebrate 60 years of marriage

Mr. and Mrs. Clinton West
Bonnie Meadors and Clinton West were married on June 9, 1956 at the Whitley County Courthouse by Reverend U.V. Harp.
The Wests will celebrate 60 years of wedded bliss on June 11, 2016 at the Williamsburg Convention Center in Williamsburg.
Bonnie and Clinton were blessed with four children; Connie Pitcher, Richard West, Patrick C. West, all of Hamilton, OH and Larry Wayne West (deceased); ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Clinton retired from General Electric in Evandale, OH in 1994, at which time they moved back to Williamsburg.
God dealt with the couple’s hearts to restore Concord Community Church on River Road, near where they lived at the time. Bonnie attended the church when she was a young girl, and neighbors told the family the church had been “dead” 40 years or so. There were no doors or windows, no podium or pews, and the side of the church had been used for target practice.
The community, friends and family came together and within one month, the community was having services at the church.
While there, the Wests witnessed 20 people saved and baptized.
Currently, their nephew, Bryan West, pastors the Concord Community Church, and the church is doing fine.
