Wes Golden
Wes Golden, 68, of Maple Crest Drive, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at his home.
He was born on November 19, 1947 in Whitley County, to the Luster Wesley Golden and Lora Mae (Taylor) Golden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Robert Golden and Harold Golden. He was a lifelong Deacon of Main Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Joyce (Lovin) Golden of Williamsburg; one daughter, Tammy Lowrie (husband Kevin) of Williamsburg; one son, Jeff Golden (wife Emily) of Somerset; nine grandchildren, Christopher Lowrie, Chase Lowrie, Philip Golden, Samuel Golden, Espaniel Golden, John Golden, Kate Golden, Modlet Golden, and Victoria Golden; two sisters, Janice Stringer and Jackie Gossett; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held September 11, at the Main Street Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Lowrie and Rev. Bill Wright officiating.
He was laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park. Christopher Lowrie, Chase Lowrie, Philip Golden, Samuel Golden, John Golden, and Cory Fleenor served as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Main Street Baptist Church Building Fund.
