W’burg police raid Shell station for selling synthetic marijuana
A man is facing a synthetic marijuana possession charge after the Williamsburg Police Department executed a search warrant about 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Shell Mart, which is located at 24 Happy Hollow Road.
"The search warrant was the result of an investigation into the sale of Synthetic Cannabinoid Agonist/Piperazines, also known as Synthetic Marijuana," Chief Wayne Bird said in a press release.
"Officers recovered approximately 50 one-gram packages labeled as Eight Ball that were on display and being sold for $16.99 per package."
Officers cited Mahindrakumar Patel for possession of Cannabinoid Agonist/Piperazines, which is a class ‘B’ misdemeanor.
The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department and the Kentucky State Police also assisted at the scene.
