W’burg hosting not one, but two Easter Egg hunts Saturday
If you are going to be around the Williamsburg area early Saturday afternoon and you like to hunt Easter Eggs then you are in luck as not one, but two community Easter Egg hunts are planned.
Following a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the annual Williamsburg Easter Egg Hunt is back this year.
“There will be free hot dogs for the community. We will have different sections for different age divisions. We will have 52 dozen Easter Eggs packed ready to go. We will have grand prizes for each age division,” said Williamsburg Main Street Manager Jonathan Wyatt.
“Of course, our special guest, the Easter Bunny, will be hopping around I am sure somewhere around Briar Creek Park to take pictures with so come on out.”
The Easter Egg hunt will take place at Briar Creek Park starting at 1 p.m.
Children will be divided into three age groups: ages one thru three, ages four thru six, and ages seven thru 10. There will be first, second and third place prizes given out for each age group.
“It’s a good time had by all,” noted Williamsburg Mayor Roddy Harrison.
Williamsburg VFW Post 3167, which is located near Exit 15, is also planning a community Easter Egg hunt that will start at 2:30 p.m.
There will be games, food and prizes.
