Wanda Ruth Jackson Hill

Wanda Ruth Jackson Hill, age 79, of Corbin, Kentucky departed this life on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at her home.

She was born on September 7, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Ainer and Irene Jackson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 36 years, Roy Hill; sisters, Kathleen Jackson, Yvonne Parker, Margie Lament; and brother, Donnie Jackson.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Griffith (Roger) of Williamsburg, Kentucky and Judy Monhollen of Corbin, Kentucky; brother, Earl Gene Jackson (Sandy) of Corbin, Kentucky; sister, Donna Overton of Corbin, Kentucky; special nephew, Cody Jackson (Melanie) of Corbin, Kentucky; sister-in-laws, Betty Snowden (Harvey) of Cincinnati, Ohio, Roxie Paul of Michigan (Late Arthur Paul), and Charlotte Yokum of Louisville, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Stacey Canada (Chad), Jessica Abner (Travis), Rissa White (Travis), Becca Monhollen, and RJ Monhollen (Olivia); eight great-grandchildren, Kyla Canada (Johnny), Caleb Canada, Kara Canada, Nina White, Riley White, Jaxon Abner, Mason White, and Norah Abner; childhood friend, Nell Jones; a host of nieces, nephews; and other extended family and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM on Friday, September 23, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Mullins officiating.

She will be laid to rest in the Slusher Cemetery on Tidal Wave Road.
