Vivian “Billie” Shelley
Vivian “Billie” Shelley, 88, of South Oak Street, Williamsburg, departed this life on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 20, 1930 in Whitley County, to the late Clay and Zettie (McKeen) Manning.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Everett Shelley.
Billie was a member of Cumberland Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Denny Shelley, Timmy Shelley and his wife Becky and Todd Shelley and his wife Michelle of Williamsburg; cherished grandchildren, Denielle Braun M.D. and husband Adam of Hazard, Hannah Shelley, Macie Shelley, Maddie Shelley and Jericho Shelley of Williamsburg; a sister, Lorene West of Arizona; special sister-in-law, Ruby Manning of Rockholds; and a host of family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at the Croley Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 30, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Josh Bowman, Rev. Jerry Sester and Rev. James Hodge officiating.
Following the service she will be laid to rest in the Cumberland Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Bobby Freeman, Andy Croley, Tim Croley, Gary Martin, Dan Ballou, Kenny Baird, Todd Shelley, Scott Bunch and Pete Yates will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Whitley County Sherriff’s Office, the Williamsburg Police, the Corbin Police, the Kentucky State Police, the Whitley County Detention Center and all local Fire and EMS Services.
