Virgie “Marie” Monhollen
Virgie “Marie” Monhollen, 90, of Rocksprings Road, Williamsburg departed this life on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Jellico Community Hospital.
She was born on July 13, 1928 in Williamsburg, to the late Virgil Rickett and Etta Edna (Powers) Rickett.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Callie Elmer Monhollen; brothers, George Gibbs and Harrison Rickett and sisters, Nancy Monhollen and Wilma Carpenter.
She was a member of Mulberry Community Church.
She is survived by her children, Etta Monhollen of Scottsville, Kenny Monhollen and wife Kathy of Latonia, and Virgil Monhollen of Williamsburg; three grandchildren, Jason Monhollen, Tonya Monhollen and Madeline Monhollen; six great-grandchildren, Ryland Monhollen, Kyla Monhollen, Jacob Monhollen, Caleb Monhollen, Kenny Monhollen and Abby Monhollen; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
The funeral service was held Sunday, July 29, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Croley officiating.
Following the service she was laid to rest in the Hamblin-Mulberry Cemetery.
