Vandals strike Lily Fire Department
Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking the public’s help to find the individual(s) who vandalized Lily Fire Department’s Main Station on Ky. 552 Friday morning. According to Sheriff John Root, video surveillance shows the suspect vehicle circling the building three times at 12:45 a.m., 12:55 a.m. and 1:10 a.m. "During the vehicle’s last pass around the fire department, it rammed into a bay door causing extensive damage and fled the scene afterward," Root stated. It is believed the suspect vehicle could be a dark green or gray Ford Taurus. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the sheriff’s department at 864-6600 or 878-7000. Callers may remain anonymous. Deputy Shawn Boroviak is continuing the investigation.
