US 25 Yard Sale, Depot Street Market coming next week
Do you have a closet or garage full of stuff that is no longer valuable to you but might be to others? Is your civic club or ball team needing to raise a few bucks for a project or some new equipment?
If so, then you might want to start planning for the 12th Annual US 25 Yard Sale on June 2-3, which will take place from Richwood, Kentucky, to just south of the Kentucky state line in Jellico, Tennessee.
The event is among the 10 longest and highest rated yard sales in the country, according to organizers.
Grant County celebrates its position as the founding member of the event with a Founder’s Day Sale on Thursday, June 1. This sale will take place in Grant County only.
The event was created in 2012 by Williamstown, Kentucky, resident Judy Wigginton. The yard sale continues in the remainder of the route south, on Friday, June 2, and Saturday, June 3.
The US 25 Yard Sale is organized by totally unpaid volunteers.
For more information, you can check the group’s US 25 Yard Sale page on Facebook.
Also, on Saturday, June 3, Corbin’s final Depot Street Market of the season will take place between Fourth Street and Gordon Hill from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Yard sale items, antiques, flowers, vegetables, clothing, vintage items and handmade art are just a few of the items that make this a “junker’s paradise,” organizers say.
Vendor spots are free and available on a first come, first served basis for the Depot Street Market.
