UPDATED: Police say woman that caused Gordon hill crash was intoxicated, had young child in car

Police say a Corbin woman was intoxicated with her juvenile nephew in the car as a passenger when she caused a three-car crash on Gordon Hill last Friday that resulted in two people being injured.
Thirty-four-year-old Natalie Hall was arrested and charged with DUI, failure to use child safety seat, no insurance, two counts of possession of controlled substances, reckless driving and first-degree wanton endangerment following an investigation into the crash.
The wreck occurred just after 1 p.m. Friday when Hall, driving a BMW 325i and travelling west on West Gordon Street, sideswiped an SUV and collided, head-on with a Pontiac G6.
A witness in the car behind Hall’s vehicle said Hall appeared to be slumped over just before the collision.
The driver of the Pontiac and a small child who was riding in a car seat in the back were both transported to Baptist Health Corbin for treatment.
According to Rob Jones, Public Information Officer for the Corbin Police Department, Hall told police that she had taken Suboxone — a drug commonly used to treat narcotic addiction — just prior to the accident and had used methamphetamine and Xanax, a prescription anti-anxiety drug, a day or so prior. Authorities discovered drug paraphernalia, Suboxone strips and some type of round orange pills on her while investigating the crash.
Hall was lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center where she remains in lieu of a $5,000 bond pending a trial on the charges.

I am so glad someone is putting Ms. High and Mighty in her place! Yes, thankfully Megan is okay, but then her mother gets on here and acts like an idiot! I am not surprised one bit. She needs to be in church thanking her maker that her daughter wasn’t hurt any worse instead she wants to nit pick over an article that in no way changes what the woman has done or will be charged with. Give me a break! Just like her and her kind to argue over petty stuff.

Mrs Sevier certainly attempts to act as though she’s better than anyone else. I understand this woman should be arrested for these things but rather than be thankful your child is ok you want to get on a thread of from the news paper and make corrections that doesn’t matter to anyone but you and later on attorney’s etc.. just like how you talk about other people all the time. (Is that Christian like) So, what about your grandchild, who does she belong to?haha

Are you people seriously acting like someone has no business teaching because their phone changed a couple of words?!?!? First of all, potcalledkettle, “your” is not a conjunction of you and are…that would be the word “you’re.” Also Teacher, try using some punctuation now and then…you aren’t helping your own case any. Good grief, people. I would probably be upset too if some pill head hit my child in a car and it wasn’t reported accurately. Have some compassion!

But really Dawn Sevier you want to rag a guy writing what information (that at his time of writing it) was the basic facts!! Yet you are the quality of person teaching our children in the Corbin School System and you can not #1 spell nor #2 have a little respect for someone trying to do their job!!!

This woman was arrested and charged with possession go drugs, under the influence as well as NOT HAVING A CHILD IN A CAR SEAT. Please have Dapean Manning check his facts before writing. The G-6 was my daughter. I saw this baby at the hospital with cuts and lacerations to his skull.
