Update: Police identify suspect in Corbin Subway robbery as Charles Gray


Corbin Police say tips from the public have led them to name Charles Vincent Gray as a suspect in the armed robbery of the Subway restaurant Wednesday night.
Gray, 43, of Colliersville, Tenn. was identified by several individuals who called the tip line after police released the still from the restaurant’s video surveillence camera.
Gray remains at large.
Authorities say the man walked into the restaurant around 10:08 p.m., brandished a handgun from inside his pants and demanded to be given all the money from the cash register. An image of him was caputured on surveillance video camera. He made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police say he fled the scene, possibly, in a 2000 model silver Ford Taurus.
The man was described as being white, 5-8 to 6-0 feet tall, between 150 and 170 lbs. and was wearing a black jacket, black toboggan and blue jeans.
The robbery comes on the heels of several other similar robberies in the area of late. The BP gas station at Exit 29 in north Corbin has been robbed three times in the last two months. As yet, authorities have not arrested the man they believe responsible for the crime.
