U.S. Sen. Rand Paul to hold town forum in Williamsburg
U.S. Senator Rand Paul will be holding a town hall meeting Tuesday afternoon in Williamsburg.
The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. in the Kohn Theater, which is located in the Grace Crum Rollins Fine Arts Center at the University of the Cumberlands.
Paul, who unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for president, is running for re-election to the U.S. Senate. He has recently held a series of town hall meetings across Kentucky where thousands of Kentuckians came out to discuss the issues facing both the commonwealth and the nation.
“After spending last month traveling across Kentucky for town hall events, I am excited to be visiting Whitley County again to speak about the issues facing both Kentucky and our nation. I look forward to the opportunity to personally address Kentuckians’ concerns and share what I’m doing in the Senate to work hard for Kentucky’s best interests,” Paul said.
Paul is expected to win his May primary election and will likely face Democrat Jim Gray, who is Lexington mayor, in the November General Election.
