Two injured in crash on U.S. 25E

A Corbin woman had to be extricated from her vehicle following a two-vehicle crash on the Cumberland Gap Pkwy. Thursday morning.
According to Laurel County Sheriff John Root, 71-year-old Martha Johnson was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Corbin for treatment of head injuries after her Kia Sorento was T-boned by 32-year-old Angela Foley’s Dodge Durango SUV.
Foley, of Corbin, was also taken to Baptist Health Corbin for treatment of shoulder and neck injuries.
The wreck occurred about 8:40 at the intersection of U.S. 25E and Oak Ridge Church Road.
West Knox Volunteer Fire department and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County assisted at the scene.
