Tues. Night Highlights: 50th District double header action at Corbin, Whitley County
A pair of boys-girls double headers saw every 50th District team in action Tuesday night.
At Corbin, it was a good night to be a Redhound as both the girls and boys teams defeated visiting South Laurel. In game one, the Lady Hounds improved to 10-5 on the season with a 68-56 win over the Lady Cards. In game two, the Redhounds overcame a slow start to pick up a 62-53 victory that improved them to 8-4 on the season.
Meanwhile, the Whitley County Lady Colonels managed to successfully defend their home court against their crosstown rivals Tuesday, defeating Williamsburg, 57-45, to improve to 4-7 on the year. With the loss, the Lady Jackets now stand at 7-5 overall. The Whitley boys were also successful, picking up an 80-66 win over the Yellow Jackets in the evening’s second contest. The Colonels are now 10-5, while the Jackets fall to 8-7.
