After his retirement, he returned to work with the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department as Court Bailiff, working primarily with Judge Cathy Prewitt.
Troy’s most loved job title was that of School Resource Officer as part of the WPD at Williamsburg City School, where he had the privilege to work alongside the administrators, staff, and teachers for five years, keeping the students safe and reminding them they are an important and loved part of the community.
Troy may have retired from the department, but he remained an integral part of the community – spreading a beautiful smile, a hearty laugh, meaningful conversation, a healthy handshake, and love everywhere he ventured.
