Tom R. Storms Sr.

Tom R. Storms Sr., 79, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Baptist Health in Lexington.

He was the founder and owner of Johnny Wheels and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Corbin.

He was a BA graduate of Morris Harvey College in Charleston, WV, and served in the US Coast Guard.  While in the Coast Guard he was assigned to honor guard duties for former President John F. Kennedy.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. Storms and his father, Bill Storms.

He is survived by his mother, Orpha Christeen Storms; sons, T.R. Storms and wife Karen; Bill Storms and wife Jenny, all of Corbin, and Jonathan P. Storms of Ashland; grandchildren, Emily, Ben, Claire, Lauren, Jacob, Adam, Anna, and Slater Storms; great granddaughter, Natalie Storms all of Corbin; sisters, Sue Jackson of Louisville, and Sylvia Dyke of Huntersville, NC; and by many friends including special friend, Judy Goins of Louisville.

Rosary devotions were recited at Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral mass for Thomas R. Storms Sr., will be celebrated  at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Corbin.

Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
