Toddler dies after being pulled from pond in Woodbine

Kentucky State Police are investigating the circumstances behind the death of a three-year-old boy who was found dead in a pond Saturday night in Woodbine.

The child was found in the pond near his home on Wilton School Road off of Ky. 6 in Knox County at approximately 5:50 p.m..

The child was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Corbin where he was pronounced dead.

The body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Officer in Frankfort for an autopsy.

KSP Detective Josh Howard is continuing the investigation.
