Thomas Nelson Mitchell

Thomas Nelson Mitchell, known by many as Mitch, passed away on December 8, 2023, in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 75.
Tom was born on March 3, 1948 in Cincinnati, to Nelson and Carol Mitchell.
Tom graduated from Oak Hill High School as a member of the class of 1966. After high school, Tom served in the U.S. Marines for six years.
Tom had a quick wit and was always ready with a sarcastic zinger. However, it was his passion for collecting that truly set him apart. Tom had a love for classic cars that knew no bounds and his knowledge and collection on the subject was a testament. He was truly one of a kind, leaving an indelible mark on those lucky enough to have known him.
Tom is survived by his sister, Cheryl France and her husband Jim. Tom’s family extended to his adoring nieces and nephews and their families: Alan and Teresa France (Mason and Shelby and her family Dray, Emma and Ethan), Kristin Wilson (Amy-Beth and Zakri), Michelle and JP Romeo (AJ, Colton and Kenley) and Michael and Lindsey France.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Nelson and Carol Mitchell.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 16, at the Young Cemetery on Young Cemetery Road in Corbin Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to be made to the American Diabetes Association.
